Tax Credit Information for Qualifying Products

Take advantage of the energy tax credit with Armaclad's Encore or Liberty by Armaclad windows*! New windows from Armaclad can earn you up to a $1,500 credit through 2010.

Tax Credit

This label appears on ENERGY STAR® qualified windows that qualify for the energy tax credit.

The new law increases the code sec. 25 residential energy property tax credit from 10% to 30% and raises the maximum cap to $1,500 for 2009 and 2010.

To qualify, the window must have a U-value equal to or less than .30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient equal to or less than .30

Key Qualifying Elements of the Program:

  • 30% of the amount paid or incurred by the taxpayer for qualified energy efficient improvements installed during the taxable years
  • Up to $1,500 maximum credit for energy efficient improvements for all taxable years
  • Not allowed for amounts paid for onsite preparation, assembly, installation labor, sales tax or other components
  • Covers qualified products placed in service after December 31, 2008 and before January 1, 2011
  • Must be for taxpayers principal residence

But remember, NOT ALL ENERGY STAR LABELED WINDOWS QUALIFY! Just because a product has the ENERGY STAR label, it does not mean it qualifies for the tax credit. With Armaclad qualifying glass packages, you can be sure that your new windows qualify.
